Thakral Corporation’s Australian subsidiary, GemLife, has announced plans for a new lifestyle resort in Queensland, estimated to cost A$428 million ($353.45 million). The resort, called GemLife Elimbah, will span 26 hectares and offer 404 homes, each featuring two bedrooms and a multipurpose room. This will be GemLife’s third resort in Moreton Bay, joining GemLife Bribie Island and GemLife Moreton Bay.

According to GemLife’s director and CEO, Adrian Puljich, land lease communities are becoming increasingly popular among downsizers due to their low maintenance, secure, and relatively affordable options. Puljich also notes that living alongside like-minded neighbors and having access to on-site amenities can help build new social connections and promote overall health and well-being.

The resort is expected to attract interest from individuals across Moreton Bay, the Sunshine Coast, and Brisbane who are looking to downsize to a peaceful and green area in the South East that offers convenient access to various amenities such as shops, cafes, medical services, and transportation.
