A collection of 20 historical bungalows situated in Sembawang are now open for tender through the Singapore Land Authority (SLA). Interested parties have a chance to lease these properties for a period of five years, with an option to extend for an additional four years.

Situated along Admiralty Road East, Falkland Road, Auckland Road West and Fiji Road, these two-storey black-and-white bungalows were built in the 1920s and 1930s. With an expansive area of approximately 245,300 square feet, the bungalows offer an estimated total gross floor area (GFA) of 94,945 square feet.

The bungalows are being made available for lease with the option to use them as serviced apartments. This means that they can be used for multi-generational living and senior co-living concepts. Additionally, the properties can also be utilised for F&B and retail purposes, with the condition that the GFA does not exceed 9,580 square feet. The minimum stay for a serviced apartment is one week.

In line with the trend of repurposing state properties, the SLA will be evaluating bids on a price-quality basis. The tender for these bungalows will end on June 11 at 11am, with the winning applicant expected to be announced in October.
